Axcient Buys DirectRestore
Mountain View-based Axcient, which provides cloud-based, data recovery tools, said Tuesday that it has acquired the business and technology of DirectRestore, a developer of file, object, database, and application recovery tools. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. Axcient says that DirectRestore's technology allows for restoration of individual items from popular applications such as SQL Server and Microsoft Exchange database backups and replications.
