Google said late Monday that the firm has launched a new venture capital fund,
Google Ventures, which the firm said will look to find and develop "exceptional" start-ups. The firm said the new VC fund will look at investments in consumer Internet, software, clean-tech, bio-tech, health care, and other areas. The new fund is being managed by Rich Miner and Bill Maris.
