San Mateo-based
Untangle, a developer of open source, security gateway and web filtering products, has scored $11M out of a $12M venture capital round. According to a regulatory filing from the firm, the funding tranche came on March 27th. Participants in the new funding were not disclosed, however, the firm's board of directors now includes a representative from Citrix Systems. CMEA Ventures' James Watson and Rustic Canyon Partners' Nate Redmond are also on the firm's board, according to the filing; both CMEA and Rustic Canyon are previous investors in the company.
