Cisco Acquires Tidal Software
San Jose-based Cisco announced this morning that it is acquiring Palo Alto- and Houston-based Tidal Software, a maker of application management and automation software. According to Cisco, it will pay approximately $105M in cash plus retention incentives for Tidal, which will become part of its Cisco Advanced Services organization. Tidal Software was venture backed by Panorama Capital, JPMorgan, Novus Ventures, VantagePoint, and Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers.
