Venture Investments Total $5.27B For Quarter
A report released by Dow Jones VentureSource over the weekend reports that there was $5.27 billion invested in 595 deals across the U.S. during Q2. The results were down significantly from the $8.33 billion invested across 726 deals in Q2 of last year, but up 32% from Q1. Bay Area investments total $1.83 billion, across 180 deals--roughly the same deal volume as 2005, and a 41% drop from last year's numbers.
