Oracle Buys Goldengate
Redwood Shores-based Oracle announced today that it has acquired San Francisco-based GoldenGate Software, which develops data replication technology for databases, and associated high availability and disaster recovery products. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. Oracle said that the buy will extend its capabilities in the area of real-time data integration, as well as providing uptime for business-critical applications. The deal is expected to close later this year. GoldenGate was founded in 1995.
