Power Assure Gains $2.5M
Santa Clara-based Power Assure announced Wednesday afternoon that the firm has raised $2.5M in a Series A funding round. The round came from Draper Fisher Jurvetson and individual investors. Power Assure develops business automation software used to reduce energy used in data centers. The firm's software automatically shuts down servers depending on SLAs and customer requirements, to minimize energy consumption. Brad Wurtz, Clemens Pfeiffer, Josh Raffaelli of DFJ joins the firm's board along with the funding. L. William (Bill) Krause of LWK Ventures also sits on the board.
