Power Assure, a developer of software used for power optimization and monitoring for data centers, has raised $1.5M from ABB, the firm said Monday. According to Power Assure, the investment came from ABB's venture capital arm, ABB Technology Ventures. Power Assure said the new funds bring its total raised to $20.25M. The firm has previously raised funding from Draper Fisher Jurvetson, Good Energies, and Point Judith Capital, in addition to funding from the Department of Energy. The company said the funding will go towards sales and go-to-market initiatives.
