Palo Alto-based FanSnap, a live event ticket search engine, announced late Wednesday that the firm has raised $5M in a new funding. The round came from Highland Capital Partners, with Richard de Silva of Highland taking a place on its board. FanSnap searches for event seats for fans, aggregated from dozens of ticket providers. The firm has previously raised funding from General Catalyst Partners; it was unclear if General Catalyst participated in the new funding round.
