Alviso-based DVR maker Tivo said Wednesday afternoon that it has filed a complaint against At&T and Verizon Communications, for patent infringement. TiVo said the suit was filed in the United States District Court, Eastern District of Texas. TiVo said it is looking for damages for past infringement and a permanent injunction in the suit, which the company says is similiar to the one issued against DISH/EchoStar in an earlier suit filed by the company.
