Equinix Opens New Data Center
Foster City-based Equinix is expanding its data center network, saying this morning that it has opened up a $95M data center in the Los Angeles area. Equinix, which provides colocation and data center services, said the new center is a result of demand from its entertainment and digital media customers. The company said the new center has a capacity of approximately 3,000 cabinets, and encompasses 177,000 square feet. The center is the third for the area in the city.
