Finjan, a developer of secure web gateway products, has been acquired by M86 Security, M86 said Tuesday. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. According to M86 Security, it acquired Finjan's global operations, products and technology, as well as licenses to Finjan's patents. As part of the deal, M86 Security said it will maintain FInjan's development center and operations in Netanya, Israel, and also merge Finjan's security labs into its own. Finjan was venture backed by Benchmark Capital, Benhamou Global Ventures, Cisco Corp., HarbourVest Partners, and Israel Seed Partners.
