EA Buys Playfish
Redwood City-based Electronic Arts said this morning that it has acquired social games maker Playfish. EA said it will pay approximately $275M in cash and approximately $25M in equity for Playfish, which will become a part of EA Interactive. Electronic Arts also said that the deal includes up to $100M in potential earn out, based on performance milestones through December 31, 2011.
