AMAT Completes Semitool Buy
Santa Clara-based Applied Materials has completed its acquisition of Semitool, a developer of electrochemical plating and wafer surface preparation equipment for the semiconductor industry, the firm said Monday. The deal was worth $11.00 in cash per share to Semitool shareholders, or approximately $364M. The two had announced the deal in early November.
