Apple: 300,000 iPads Sold On Saturday
Apple announced this morning that it sold over 300,000 iPads on Saturday, the day of its launch. Apple said that as of midnight on the 3rd, it sold over 300,000 iPads through delivery of pre-ordered iPads, delivery to channel partners, and sales at Apple Retail stores. The company also said it saw over one million application downloads for iPad on Saturday, and 250,000 ebook downloads.
