Sifteo Gets $9M
San Francisco-based Sifteo, a spinout of the MIT Media Lab, said earlier this week that it has raised $9M in a Series B funding round. The round came from Foundry Group and True Ventures. Sifteo has developed a tabletop game based on sensor-driven, cookie-sized computers. The firm was created by David Merrill and Jeevan Kalanithi out of a research project of theirs at MIT.
