Calithera Biosciences Raises $40M
South San Francisco-based Calithera Biosciences said today that it has raised $40M in a Series A financing round. The round was led by Morgenthaler Ventures, and also included U.S. Venture Partners, Advanced Technology Ventures, Delphi Ventures, and Mission Bay Capital. The firm said the funding will go towards its efforts to develop treatments for cancer and other proliferative diseases.
