Pacific Biosciences Gains $109M
Menlo Park-based Pacific Biosciences, a firm developing technology for the real-time detection of biological events, said Wednesday that it has completed a $109M, Series F financing. The round includes a previously announced $50m investment by Gen-Probe Incorporated. Pacific Biosciences said the funding will go to support the firm's operations and its begins ramping up commercial production. The funding brings its total raised to around $370 million.
