A Palo Alto-based firm developing killer robots for the military,
Robotex, has apparently added Peter Thiel to its board, based on a regulatory filing by the firm Tuesday. According to a filing from Robotex, it has raised $6.1M in funding and added Peter Thiel to its board of directors. Details on the funding have not been disclosed. RoboTex, which was started by former PayPal engineer Nathan Gettings, and has publicly shown its robots mounted with assault rifles. The Founders Fund also now lists Robotex as a portfolio firm.
