Zynga Acquires Bonfire Studios
San Francisco-based social gaming firm Zynga announced today that it has acquired Bonfire Studios, a Dallas-based game development firm. Financial terms of the acquisition were not announced. Zynga said it would use the buy to create a new, Dallas studio called Zynga Dallas. Zynga said that Bonfire's founders, David Rippy, Bill Jackson and Scott Winsett, have been involved in the development of such titles as Age of Empires, Age of Mythology and Halo Wars.
