Purdue University
is looking to tap into Silicon Valley's innovation, hoping to draw some interest in investments and interest in the university and Indiana, saying today that it has opened up a West Coast office in the NASA Ames Research Center. Purdue said it has hired
John C. Boyle
--who has previously been a partner at Worldview Technology Partners and Matrix Partners--to head up the effort. Purdue said it hopes to contribute its technical expertise, and ink partnerships to bring research and development dollars back to Indiana.
