A new, Woodside-based venture firm,
Chronic Health Capital, has made its first investment, in Arizona-based
DiCOM Grid. According to DiCOM Grid, which provides cloud-based medical imaging management software, it was the first investment by Chronic Health Capital, which is headed by Steven Yecies. The investment was part of a $7.5M Series A round led by Canaan Partners, and which also included CHL Medical Partners. Yecies was formerly at iMetrikus, and was General Manager and SVP Healthcare at Pay By Touch. He's also served in executive roles at Acumen Sciences, Scient, and other firms. Chronic Health said it invests in private health care services and health care information technology companies.
