Achronix Semiconductor Gets $40M
San Jose-based Achronix Semiconductor, a developer of field programmable gate array (FPGA) technology, said yesterday that it has raised $40M as part of a first close of a $45M, Series C mezzanine financing round. The firm said the funding included all of its existing investors, and was led by an un-named syndicate of financial and strategic investors. The firm said it expects the remaining $5M to close in the next 60 days. The new funding will go towards its products. The new round boosts the firm's total funding to around $117.4M.
