Mountain View-based Google announced Monday afternoon that it is investing $168M in a new, solar energy power plant being developed by Oakland-based . BrightSource's plant, being developed in the Mojave Desert, will generate 392 MW of solar energy when completed. Google said it has now invested over $250M in the clean energy sector with the deal.
