Peel, the developer of a personalized television recommendation system for funding TV shows, movies, and sports, said Monday that it has raised $16.7M in a Series B funding round. The round was led by Lightspeed Venture Partners, and also included prior investors
Redpoint Ventures,
Harrison Metal Capital,
Kapor Capital, and
Baseline Ventures. Lightspeed's investment was led by
Ravi Mhatre. The firm said the funding will go towards opening up retail opportunities for its device and expansion of its application.
