VMware Buys Shavlik Technologies
Palo Alto-based virtualization software developer VMware said this morning that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Shavlik Technologies, a developer of cloud-based, IT management software for small and medium sized businesses. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. Shavlik's software allows for managing security, data protection, business continuity, and other aspects of a company's IT operations.
