Aviat Networks Sells WiMAX Business
Santa Clara-based Aviat Networks, a developer of wireless transmission hardware, said Tuesday that it has sold its WiMax business to EION Networks, Inc.. Financail details of the deal were not disclosed. Aviat Networks acquired the WiMAX business in 2009, but has been looking to sell that business since May. EION Networks is based in Ottawa, Ontario.
