Aviat Networks, a developer of 4G telecom gear for the WiMax and LTE markets, said Thursday that it is in a corporate restructuring, which will result in a reduction in its workforce, and consolidation of several of its facilities. Exact number of jobs and specific facility closures were not announced by the firm. Aviat said it expects the move will reduce its annual spending by $30 to $35 million. The firm also said it would take pre-tax restructing charges of between $11 to $13M, related to severance costs and impairment of facilities and other assets.
