TiVo Reaps $215M From AT&T Settlement
Alviso-based Tivo reported Tuesday afternoon that it has settled a patent infringement suit with AT&T, where AT&T will enter into a mutual patent licensing arrangement with the firm, paying a total of $215M to Tivo. The deal includes an initial payment of $51M, followed by quartelry guaranteed payments through June 2018, equal to a total of $164M. The two also agreed to dismiss all pending litigation between the companies.
