Aria Diagnotics Gets $52.7M
San Jose-based Aria Diagnostics, a developer of molecular diagnostic test for prenatal and maternal health, reported this morning that it has raised $52.7M in a Series C funding round. The round came from Meritech Capital Partners, an un-named mutual fund, as well as Venrock and Domain Associates. Aria said the funding will go towards product development and commercialization. The firm is developing a prenatal test to detect common fetal trisomies such as Trisomy 21, which is associated with Down syndrome.
