Dasient Acquired By Twitter
Sunnyvale-based Dasient, a developer of security software to protect against malware has been acquired by Twitter. Financial details of the buy were not announced. Dasient said it will brings its technology, tools, and team to the revenue engineering team at Twitter. Dasient was headed by Paul Stich, and was venture backed by Google Ventures, Radar Partners, Floodgate, and Benhamou Global Ventures. As part of the acquisition, the firms said they will be winding down business and will no longer accept new customers.
