oDesk Lands $15M
Menlo Park-based freelance marketplace oDesk said this morning that it has raised $15M in a funding round, led by T. Rowe Price. Benchmark Capital, Globespan Capital Partners and Sigma Partners also participated in the funding. oDesk operates an online marketplace which helps employers connect with freelancers. According to the firm, as part of the funding, it has appointed Gregory Stanger as its new Chief Financial Officer. Stanger was previously CFO of Expedia and Chegg. He has previously served on the board of Expedia, Netflix, Drugstore.com and Kayak.com, and was a Venture Partner at Technology Crossover Ventures.
