Violin Memory Raises $50M
Mountain View-based Violin Memory, a developer of flash-based, memory arrays for the solid state storage market, has raised $50M in a Series D funding round. The round came from Toshiba, Juniper Networks, SAP Ventures, and Highland Capital. Violin Memory is headed by Don Basile, who was previously CEO of Fusion-io, another company in the flash data storage market.
