Violin Memory has filed for an IPO, saying that it is looking to trade on the NYSE as VMEM. The memory develops is venture backed by Toshiba, Juniper Networks, SAP Ventures, and Highland Capital, among others. IPO is being underwritten by J.P. Morgan, Deutsche Bank, BofA Merrill Lynch, Barclays, Baird, and Pacific Crest Securities. The company says it hopes to raise as much as $172.250M on the public markets.
