Yahoo Whacks 2000 Employees
Sunnyvale-based Yahoo said Wednesday that it has laid off 2000 employees, as part of continued restructuring at the company. The firm said it expects to save approximately $375M a year in savings from the layoffs. Yahoo said the moves--which have been widely rumored for weeks--will help it as it begins "intensifying our efforts on our core businesses and redeploying resources to our most urgent priorities."
