SpiderCloud Captures $35M
Santa Clara-based Spidercloud Wireless has raised $33M in a new funding round, from Charles River Ventures, Matrix Partners, Shasta Ventures, and Opus Capital. All of those companies are existing investors in the company. According to the WSJ, the round values the firm at just under $200M. The Journal cited a "person familiar with the matter." SpiderCloud is a developer of 3G, wireless small cell networking equipment which improves the mobile broadband coverage within buildings. The firm is led by Mike Gallagher.
