Santa Clara-based
SpiderCloud Wireless, a developer of wireless technology, said today that it has raised $25M in a Series B funding round. The firm said the round was led by Opus Capital, and also included Shasta Ventures and existing investors Charles River Ventures and Matrix Partners. The firm said the round brings its total raised to $40M. The firm's equipment is targeted at mobile operators to help extend indoor capacity and coverage for wireless networks, particularly in enterprises. As part of the funding, the firm said it has added Behrooz Parsay as Senior Vice President of Engineering and operations. Parsay has served at Aperto Networks, Ericsson, DIVA, Kestrel, and Lantern Communications.
