PlaySay Gets $250K For Language Learning

PlaySay
, the developer of an iPhone game to help foreign language learners, said today that it has raised $250,000 in a new funding round. The round came from Kevin Yu, former director of PayPal Japan; Sean Glass, founder of Higher One, and Novak Biddle Venture Partners. The company said it has now raised $820,000 in total. PlaySay's game helps people correct their pronunciation of foreign languages in a game. PlaySay also said it has linked up with HarperCollins in a content licensing deal; HarperCollins is a publisher of foreign language dictionaries. Terms and details of that deal were not announced.
