San Francisco-based
Chute, the developer of software to help applications and websites capture, manage, and display media files, announced this morning that it has raised a new round of early stage funding. The round was worth $2.7M. The funding was led by
Freestyle Capital, and also included
Battery Ventures, USVP and strategic investors including Salesforce.com,
Joe Fernandez,
Binh Tran, and
Joshua Reeves. The company said it will use the funding for hiring and sales and marketing.
