QBotix Gets $6.5M For Solar Install Robotics

, a developer of robotics technology used to align and move solar panels to maximize the power output from photovoltaic panels, has raised $6.5M in a Series A funding, the firm disclosed this week. The funding was led by New Enterprise Associates, and also included Firelake Capital, Siemens Venture Capital, and DFJ JAIC. The QBotix system uses solar panels mounted on a robotic system which operates on a fixed track.
