San Francisco-based
Gyft, a new startup looking to make it easier for users to use their gift cards, launched today, with the backing of Google Ventures, Founder Collective, and 500 Startups. As part of the round, the firm disclosed it had closed a round of funding worth $1.25M. Gift operates a mobile platform which helps consumers better manage their gift cards, loading them on mobile phones and allowing users to send new gift cards to others using text, email, or Facebook. The firm said the funds will go towards scaling the company, further product development, and extending its partner eco-system.
