Square Closes $200M Round

, the developer of mobile credit card readers and related payment services, reported today that it has closed its Series D funding round. The firm did not announced the size of the funding, which is widely reported to be $200M. The funding came from Citi Ventures, Rizvi Traverse Management, and Starbucks Coffee Company. Square said it is now processing over $8 billion in payments on an annualized basis, up from $1 billion last year.
