Report: Square Raising $200M At $6 Billion Valuation
A report yesterday from CNBC says that San Francisco-based Square, which provides mobile payment technology which enables vendors to use their smartphone to accept credit card payments, is raising $200M, in a deal which will value the company at north of $6 billion. The report--which cited "sources familiar with the matter"--said the lead so far on the investment is from the Government of Singapore Investment Corporation (GIC).
