SideCar Finds $10M
San Francisco-based SideCar, which develops mobile apps to help users find a ride, has raised $10M in a Series A funding round. The round came from Lightspeed Venture Partners and Google Ventures. SideCar is headed by Sunil Paul. The firm said it is "rethinking transportation" by helping drivers find nearby passengers looking for a ride around town; the company's service has been operating in San Francisco since last June.
