ScaleIO, a developer of software-only, virtual storage area network (SAN) products, said today that it has raised $12M in a funding round. The round came from Greylock Partners, Norwest Venture Partners, and others. ScaleIO said its teams have developed products at IBM, Topio (acquired by NetApp), NetApp, LSI, XtremIO (acquired by EMC), and other companies.
