Palo Alto-based ScaleIO, which develops software defined storage technology, has been acquired by EMC, EMC said Thursday. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed, however, the deal has been rumored to be worth $200M to $300M. EMC said the move will strengthen its portfolio of flash-based storage products. ScaleIO becomes part of EMC's Flash Product Division.
