San Francisco-based
Snip.it, the developer of a social tool for sharing web pages, news, and other information with others, has been acquired by
Yahoo. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Snip.it said it would be shutting down its service as of today due to the acquisition, and allow users to export their content. The company said, in a post on its site, that it will be taking "social news to new, exciting heights" at Yahoo.
