Think Big Analytics Seeded With $3M
When Ron Bodkin, the founder of Think Big Analytics, was VP of Engineering at Quantcast, he started tapping into Hadoop and NoSQL--two of the core of the move towards big data analysis--in that firm's operations. That led to starting Think Big, which is providing "big data" consluting services to companies, and which just pocketed $3M in a seed funding round. The round, announced Tuesday, included WI Harper Group, as well as angel Daniel Scheinman (Cisco). Think Big is based in Mountain View.
