A new, Menlo Park-based venture fund kicked off earlier this week,
Bullpen Capital, saying it is specifically focused on second rounds of financing for super angel seeded deals. BullPen, which was founded by Paul Martino, Duncan Davidson, and Richard Melmon, said that it is specifically looking to lead second rounds of financing for companies which were seeded by super-angel funds. The firm said it is looking to fill a "big hole" in the ecosystem resulting from super angel investments. So far, the firm has funded San Francisco customer service startup Assistly, and says it is targeting a $50M fund.
