SharesPost Ties With NASDAQ On Private Share Trading
San Bruno-based SharesPost, which operates an online marketplace to trade stock in privately held, venture backed companies, has inked a joint venture deal with NASDAQ OMX, the two said this morning. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed. The two said they will create a new, NASDAQ Private Market (NPM) which which combines NASDAQ OMX's experience in the market and resources, and SharesPost's web-based platform for trading private stock.
